Terms of use
The terms that apply when you read TailorGuide, use our rankings and guides, or become a member.
Last updated 15 October 2026
1.About these terms
These terms apply to your use of tailorguide.net. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. “TailorGuide”, “we” and “us” mean the company that runs this website.
2.What TailorGuide publishes
TailorGuide is an independent publication. Our rankings, scores, reviews, guides and awards are our own opinions and information, written to help you choose a tailor. They are not professional, legal or financial advice.
We do not make or sell clothes, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a tailor. Every order, deposit, fitting, alteration or refund is between you and the tailor you choose.
3.Prices and information
Prices on TailorGuide are approximate starting prices, shown in US dollars and converted from local currency when a list is updated. They change with the fabric, the details you choose, exchange rates and the tailor’s own pricing.
We check our information carefully, but addresses, opening hours, prices and services can change without notice. Always confirm the price, the fabric, the number of fittings and the delivery date with the tailor before you pay. Our guide to tailor scams explains what to agree in writing.
4.Membership and emails
Membership is free. When you become a member you agree to receive our emails about rankings, the TailorGuide Awards and tailoring news. Please give an email address that is yours. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by writing to contact@tailorguide.net. How we handle your details is explained in our privacy policy.
5.Our content
The text, rankings, scores, photographs, illustrations, design and the TailorGuide and TailorGuide Awards names and logos belong to TailorGuide or to the people who license them to us. You may read, share links to and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may quote a short extract, such as a tailor’s place in a ranking, if you credit TailorGuide and link to the page. You may not copy, republish, sell or systematically collect our rankings, scores or articles, or use them to build another product or train automated systems, without our written permission.
6.The TailorGuide Awards
Only tailors named as winners on our awards page may use the TailorGuide Awards name, logo and certificate, and only for the year and city in which they won. Any other use, including any suggestion that a tailor has won or been endorsed by TailorGuide when it has not, is not allowed.
7.Using the site properly
When you use TailorGuide, please do not:
- break the law, or use the site to deceive, harass or harm anyone;
- try to get into parts of the site or our systems that are not public, or interfere with how the site works;
- use automated tools to copy or collect content from the site in bulk;
- pretend to be TailorGuide, one of our critics or anyone else.
8.Links to other websites
We link to tailors’ websites, booking pages, maps and social accounts for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices.
9.Our responsibility to you
We provide TailorGuide as it is, and we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or up to date. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that arises from your use of the site, from relying on its content, or from your dealings with any tailor or other business named on it.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
10.Changes to the site and these terms
We may change, add to or remove parts of the site at any time. We may also update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
