Who we are
TailorGuide was founded on Savile Row in 2016 by the late Henry Kingsford, one of the Row’s most respected master tailors. After a lifetime of cutting suits for clients from around the world, he set out to give anyone buying or commissioning a suit the same knowledge the industry relies on: who makes the best clothes, what they should cost, and how to tell fine work from ordinary.
Today TailorGuide is a private company with offices in London, New York, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney. We publish annual rankings of the best tailors in the world’s leading tailoring cities, more than 100 guides to tailoring and menswear, and news from across the industry every day, and we host the annual TailorGuide Awards.
Our rankings are written by critics who experience each tailor for themselves. They book as ordinary clients, choose the fabric, sit through the fittings and wear the finished clothes, and they carry no paid endorsements of any kind.
