Goodluck Bespoke is best understood as a menswear shop with a bespoke service attached. Its Gate Avenue unit sells its own ready-to-wear suits, shirts, safari sets, shoes and fragrance, and takes bespoke orders in the same space. The bespoke process it describes is sound: a pattern drafted for each client and kept on file, a first fitting on a shell one to three weeks after measuring, a second two to five weeks later, and collection one to two weeks after that.
The difficulty is how little can be checked. The firm names its founder, Goodluck Igwe, but no founding year, head cutter, workroom or fabric mill, and no bespoke price. Its press consists of listings: a July 2024 Sandy Times roundup of Dubai ateliers and an undated Buro 24/7 Middle East list, neither of which assesses the work. Its statement that every garment is hand-stitched is its own.
The ready-to-wear gives some sense of its taste: half-canvas jackets with a soft shoulder, a handmade lapel buttonhole and working cuffs, in Super 120s and Super 130s wools, at $1,200 to $1,600 in 2026. Those are fair prices for DIFC. The bespoke price must be asked for.
Choose it if you work in DIFC, want an address open late every day and are happy to judge the work in person. Ask for a written bespoke quote, the fabric books and the number of fittings before paying a deposit. Collars & Cuffs, on the same Gate Avenue, publishes a bespoke price and has a longer press record, and Bespoke, the Parmar family's atelier at The Gate, has the longest history in the city.
