Can You Get a Suit Made in 24 Hours in Bangkok? How Express Tailoring Works

Yes, a Bangkok tailor can measure you in the morning, fit you that evening and hand you a finished suit the next day. Here is how the schedule works and how to make the most of it.

The short answer

Yes. Several Bangkok tailors make a suit in 24 hours. You choose an in-stock fabric and are measured in the morning, return for a fitting that evening or early the next day, and collect the finished suit within 24 hours. A two-piece suit works best. If your trip allows two or three days, use them for a second fitting.

  • Peninsula Bespoke Tailor, Nordic Bespoke and Manchester Tailor BKK make suits in 24 hours; Tailored By Luis in 24 to 48.
  • An express suit usually has one fitting, the same evening or the next morning.
  • A two-piece suit in a fabric already in stock suits express best.
  • Book before you fly, give your flight time and order in the morning.
  • Two or three days add a second fitting if your schedule allows.

A one-night stopover, a wedding you packed the wrong suit for, a meeting that came up at short notice: Bangkok is one of the few cities in the world where a tailor can still make you a suit by tomorrow. Express tailoring here is a normal service, not a favor, and it follows a clear schedule. Knowing that schedule, and what fits inside it, is how you get a suit you will be glad to wear.

Can you really get a suit made in 24 hours in Bangkok?

Yes. Bangkok tailors keep large stocks of fabric, and many cut and sew in their own workshops, so work on your suit can start as soon as you leave the shop. On our list, Peninsula Bespoke Tailor, family-run on Silom Road since 1969, Nordic Bespoke on Sukhumvit Soi 18, which charges nothing extra for 24 hours, and Manchester Tailor BKK near Khao San Road all offer a 24-hour express service.

Others offer express on a slightly longer clock. Tailored By Luis makes suits in 24 to 48 hours and King Fashion Uni in MBK Center in 24 to 72 hours. Galaxy Tailor offers a 48-hour express, Unique Tailor two days and Jesse & Son 48 to 72 hours. For comparison, a standard order at most Bangkok tailors takes two to four days.

How is a 24-hour suit scheduled?

Every tailor runs its own timetable, and you agree the exact times when you order. The pattern below is typical: one visit to order, one fitting on a basted suit, then collection. An early start matters, because it gives the workshop the whole first day.

  1. Stage 1: Order and measurement

    Day 1, morning

Choose the style and an in-stock fabric, get measured and agree the fitting time. Allow up to an hour.

  2. Stage 2: Pattern and cutting

    Day 1, late morning

A paper pattern is drafted from your measurements and the fabric is cut.

  3. Stage 3: Basting

    Day 1, afternoon

The jacket is loosely assembled with long basting stitches, so seams can still be moved.

  4. Stage 4: Fitting

Day 1, evening, or day 2, early

You try on the basted suit while the tailor pins and chalks changes to balance, length and shape.

  5. Stage 5: Finishing

    After the fitting

The changes are made, the suit is sewn and finished, buttonholes are made and everything is pressed.

  6. Stage 6: Collection

    Within 24 hours of ordering

A final try-on at the shop, or delivery to your hotel.

A typical 24-hour suit: order in the morning, fit that evening or early next day, collect within 24 hours. Agree the exact times when you order.

A fitting on a suit that is only loosely assembled with long, temporary stitches, so the tailor can open seams and change the balance, length and shape before the suit is finished.

If you land in the afternoon or evening

The clock starts when you order, not when you land. Several tailors keep late hours, so you can often choose the fabric and be measured on your first evening: Nordic Bespoke is open daily until 10pm, Manchester Tailor BKK daily until 11pm, and Tailored By Luis until 11:30pm from Monday to Saturday. Otherwise, book the first slot the next morning and plan to collect the morning after.

What can a Bangkok tailor make in 24 hours?

A two-piece suit is the natural express order. Simpler garments are quicker, so a two-piece takes less time than a three-piece suit or an overcoat, and a fabric already on the shelf is quicker than one ordered in. If you want shirts, a waistcoat or a second suit as well, say so when you book: the tailor will tell you what can be ready in 24 hours and what needs a day or two more.

Which fabrics work for an express suit?

The one rule is that the fabric must be in stock. Most Bangkok tailors carry a wide range on the shelf, from standard blended fabrics to 100% wool, linen and finer Italian and English wools, so the choice is still large. For a suit you will wear in the heat, a light wool of about 7 to 9 oz (220 to 280 g) breathes well and recovers from creases. A standard blend costs least and travels well. Linen is the coolest but creases quickly, which matters if you will wear the suit straight off a plane.

Our guide to the best suit fabric for hot weather compares the light wools, linens and blends in more detail.

What should you expect from a 24-hour suit?

Expect a suit cut from a pattern drafted for you, in the fabric you chose, with one fitting where the main fit is set. That single fitting matters, so use it well: wear the shoes you will wear with the suit, stand naturally, sit, reach forward and say clearly what feels tight or loose. The tailor can make small adjustments again when you collect.

A second fitting refines the result further, which is why most Bangkok tailors prefer two to four days. If your trip allows 48 hours, take them. Some tailors also stand behind the suit after you leave: Manchester Tailor BKK, for example, offers free alterations for life.

Express works best when you arrive prepared. A 24-hour suit is most likely to come out exactly as you want when you:

  • Know the style. You can describe or show the lapel, buttoning and fit you want.
  • Bring a jacket to copy. A jacket that already fits you well is the fastest brief a tailor can have.
  • Choose from stock. The fabric is on the shelf, not in a book that needs an order to a mill.
  • Keep the day free. You can return for the fitting at the agreed time.

At the express fitting, the jacket is held together with basting stitches, so the tailor can still move the shoulder and sleeve.

How to plan a 24-hour suit in Bangkok

Six steps to a suit by tomorrow

  1. 1

    Book before you fly

Message the tailor with your arrival time, your flight home and the suit you want. Ask them to confirm a suitable fabric is in stock and to hold a fitting slot.

  2. 2

    Order in the morning

Go first thing on your first morning, or straight from the airport if you land early. A morning order gives the workshop the whole day.

Tip: Many tailors will collect you from your hotel. Book the pickup at least a day ahead.

  3. 3

    Bring your references

Bring a jacket that fits you well, photos of the style you want, and the shoes and shirt you will wear with the suit.

  4. 4

    Decide every detail at once

Settle the lapels, buttons, vents, pockets, trouser front and lining at the first visit. A change of mind later costs time you do not have.

  5. 5

    Keep the fitting slot

Plan meetings and sightseeing around the fitting, and arrive on time. On an express order, the fitting is the moment the fit is set.

  6. 6

    Agree collection or delivery

Decide whether you will collect the suit or have it delivered to your hotel, and leave a few hours before you set off for the airport.

What to check at an express fitting

At the fitting and at collection

  • The collar sits against your shirt collar at the back of the neck.
  • The shoulders are smooth, with no dent below the shoulder seam.
  • The jacket buttons cleanly, with no pulling around the button.
  • The sleeves show about ¼ to ½ inch (6 to 13 mm) of shirt cuff.
  • The trousers break where you want them over your own shoes.
  • The fabric, lining and details match your order.

Can you order more after you fly home?

Often, yes. Once a tailor has cut your pattern, later orders are easier, so ask whether you can reorder by message and have the suit shipped. For the full process, read getting a suit made in Bangkok, and compare express times, prices and services on the 10 best tailors in Bangkok.

Questions people ask

Which Bangkok tailors make a suit in 24 hours?

On our 2026 Bangkok list, Peninsula Bespoke Tailor, Nordic Bespoke and Manchester Tailor BKK offer a 24-hour express service. Tailored By Luis makes suits in 24 to 48 hours and King Fashion Uni in 24 to 72 hours. Galaxy Tailor, Unique Tailor and Jesse & Son offer express in about two to three days.

Does a 24-hour suit cost more in Bangkok?

It depends on the tailor. Nordic Bespoke makes a suit in 24 hours at no extra charge; at other Bangkok tailors, ask whether express changes the price before you order. The fabric you choose still has the biggest effect on the total.

How many fittings does a 24-hour suit get?

A 24-hour suit in Bangkok usually gets one fitting, on a basted suit, the same evening or early the next morning. The tailor can make small adjustments again at collection. A standard order of two to four days often allows a second fitting.

Can I get a suit made in 48 hours in Bangkok?

Yes. Several Bangkok tailors offer 48-hour express, including Tailored By Luis, Galaxy Tailor and Unique Tailor. A 48-hour schedule leaves more room to refine the fit than 24 hours and suits orders that include shirts or a tuxedo.

Can I get shirts made in 24 hours in Bangkok?

Often, but ask when you book. Shirts are simpler than a suit, and a Bangkok tailor will tell you whether they can be ready with a 24-hour suit or need an extra day. Mention them before you arrive so the fabric can be set aside.

Is a 24-hour suit cut from my own pattern?

Yes. At Bangkok tailors, an express suit is cut from a pattern drafted from your measurements, just like a standard order. The difference is time: an express suit usually has one fitting instead of two.

What should I bring for a 24-hour suit in Bangkok?

Bring a jacket that fits you well, photos of the style you want, and the shoes and shirt you will wear with the new suit. Know your flight time and hotel address, so the tailor can plan the fitting and delivery.
